Yap, they seem to be same on my keyboard. I got used to it and to be honest I really love the key bed, but I might be one of the few.

Is replacing the springs an option?
The black keys are so much lighter that unless I'm super conscious, they end up dominating in velocity. I wouldn't mind if the white keys were light as well. I have a Nektar LX88+ that doesn't have this issue, so it's kinda disappointing, because I quite like the keyboard otherwise ☹️

Just a short video about how to backup your Nektarine presets

https://youtu.be/Nh7O2uRwD30

Select a preset of a Synth you want to backup. Press Shift-A to select all and export.

I added 20g (4x5g) weights to white keys per key, used some self adhesive wheel weights (Trax 602E) used for car wheel balancing. The black keys are already weighted, that's why they feel different...
When the weights are installed it's much better now.

I wonder if there is someone in the community who is working with the new Steinberg Cubase Pro 12 MIDI Remote Integration for the Nektar Panorama T4 or T6 and willing to share it. That would be awesome.

I do believe nektarine is now apple silicon native

Post

Yes, it is now M1 native. Version 2.5.2 is a major update, with an all new GUI.

I use both Maschine and the Panorama T4, so this is great. Absolutely appreciate your work on figuring this out. I will absolutely put that script to use.

Hi Postman.
It seems that i can’t get the Super 8 nek files to work.
I drag and drop the nek file in Nektarine and it import several hundred presets but they don’t show up if i select the Super 8 vst.
I noticed that your vst3 is called Super 8 R2(vst3) while mine is called Super 8(vst3). Could this be the problem? If so any chance to fix this?

Post

Sorry for the late response. As I understand it, Super 8 and Super 8 R2 are two different things. Super 8 is a Reaktor version while Super 8 R2 is a standalone plugin (VST3).
Nevertheless, the filename of the VST3 is actually just Super 8, but apparently in my case Nektarine sees it as Super 8 R2 (may be a difference between the installation on mac or windows?).
Anyway, I tried to open the VST3 version in Nektarine, but somehow Nektarine does not show the VST3 version anymore (while other VST3’s are working well). I cannot even load the plugin in self, because Nektarine refuses to show it anymore (while the AudioUnit version still works). This might be your problem as well?

Post

Okay, I managed to get Super 8 to work again (I had to run Nektarine in Rosetta mode.)
Since @Rends thought de nek files for Super 8 did not work because of the plug-in name (Super 8 R2), I have changed the plug-in name to Super 8 (without the R2) and exported them again. I have added them to the library as well, see:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ytE3TF ... share_link

Please, let me know if this works.

I'm trying preset patch installation with latest Nektarine 2.5.99 and nothing is showing up.
I get control mapping for Uhe Diva and Hive but no mapping for my Native Instrument libraries and no presets for anything. Creating a custom mapping for a NI Instrument (Scarbee A-200) in my case is hit or miss.

This on a AMD Windows 11 Pro System.

I remember the older version of Nektarine working under Windows 10 but nada on the new version.

Also, anyone thought about installing a felt strip along the base of the keys to help with key noise dampening? Like hammer weighted keyboard beds have.
Leave ones footprint in that of the mind not the physical world. We have screwed it over enough.
