Yep, I've done the wasp before, but this model is more detailed and I've made sure to keep every component in the model to match the Doepfer hardware as closely as possible. The main change is in the resonance signal path, and also extra detail in solving for the p-mos / n-mos complimentary pairs in realtime instead of just the transfer function of them, which gives some extra signal bleed through and other non-ideal but characterful behaviour.

Would be nice to hear, what's you favourite (VCV) oscillator is in combination with the Wasp filter. If there is a favourite for you...

It’s a $15 premium module though so even if way cheaper than it might be on other platforms I’ll pass as I own the hardware.

It's already listed in the feature description, but I'd like to mention again that the Wasp filter is polyphonic....

Ok! My cure for GAS is, to stay away from hardware....

Had also a hybrid setup a few years ago, utilising an Expert Sleepers interface and Reaktor Blocks.

Great sleuth work everyone! The A-124 was a fun circuit to model, and I'm very happy with the results. Hopefully for those that have never heard the original Eurorack version may be tempted to buy the hardware after having a play with this, and likewise those that own the hardware may like to buy the software version which you can have multiple copies running at once and also use polyphonically inside VCV Rack.

Lovely! Were you involved with the Softube Doepfer stuff at all? Are you allowed to say whether there is more Doepfer in the pipeline?

I was not involved with the Softube Doepfer modules. And yes, there are more modules in the pipeline I've got a few I'd like to tackle, but I also would like to ask the community for their input, since there are a lot of Doepfer modules to check out! (edit: we may want to start a new thread for input on this since it may be off topic for some)

I haven't had a chance to check out any oscillators apart from the stock VCO and and WT VCO, and those were fine to do some audio examples for the A-124. In the future I'd like to implement a few OSC that can be pushed a bit harder as part of the Doepfer modules, but for now I can't really be of much help as I don't know what's available in VCV Rack very well.

FWIW My goto oscillators in VCV Rack are the Befaco Even VCO, Bogaudio FM-OP and the Vult range
also nearly all Mutable Instruments has been added under the name Audible Instruments


there are also excellent full complex synth voices like Valley Terraform.

Very nice filter. Tip: Set some mid to high resonance, then overdrive the filter by amplifying the input or by using +12db or +24db right click option. Goes wonky (in a nice way) between 60 Hz to 250 Hz cutoff
