In Reaper it's definitely useable. There are occasional gui slow downs for sure, but it's never crashed.
There are things the Cream can do that no other arp can do.
With so many parameters exposed for automation this is an arp you can play.
Try setting the div lane to only have one step, then bind an expression pedal to div amount.
