I've not played with it yet, so can't (and most likely wouldn't) declare it the 'end-all-be-all', but it is a task-specific 'tool', and being familiar with 3D-Coat I can see a use for it in designing/making some small things/parts (like brackets/knobs/adapters, etc), while considering these 'limitations':
There are two basic limitations applying at Export: the models are reduced to the maximum of 40K triangles and the mesh is smoothed specifically for 3D-Printing
I don't have a 3D printer, but know of numerous online sources that do it in a variety of materials, so I don't feel the need for one, even if I did have the room, and could deal appropriately with the fumes. Anyway, this may work for some of you. 8)

Looks like it has some interesting voxel-based-modeling features. It appears to be related to a non-free full modeling/texturing/sculpting app.
