No contest: All the FLOSS devs.

No wonder that you can't name 3.

Here are my criteria:
- sound good
- versatile
- resource efficient (CPU, RAM, disk)
- solid (no bugs)
- unobtrusive copy protection and no crapware
- decent price
My experience is the companies that fit these criteria are also great to deal with.
A incomplete list of companies that fit these criteria:
Klanghelm
TDR
Toneboosters
Valhalla
Minimal Audio
Synapse Audio (although not cheap, but quality makes up for the price)
u-he (although not cheap, but quality makes up for the price)
There are plenty of others that also deserve to be on this list, of course, but the biggest names usually don't.

U-He
Togu Audio Line
Tokyo Dawn Records
It's so hard to mention just three, so I would honourably mention Valhalla DSP, Cytomic, Klanghelm, Audio Damage, Fabfilter, Voxengo, ToneBoosters. These are all plugin developers that *sell* you plugins, you register them, and you use them. Not much fuss, no download apps, no web authorisation, and the plugins are top of the line!

Unsure what you mean but put it this way: People can only play pretend for so long. IOW, reality will catch up.
IOW again, we have a lot of people often talking about all this music software that they have that they hardly or never use or don't have the time for, but how much money did they really spend on it then? Perhaps we already know the answer.
It's the system and we're in it and it's playing pretend on a number of fronts.
Also, maybe talk to Richard Stallman et al. about that sort of thing.

My vote goes to all the devs supporting CLAP. Those include my actual favorites anyways.
