Here we go again.

It looks like you won't be able to easily buy NI stocks or shares from
your bank. Although NI is based in Berlin, it is owned by a Japanese
company “Native Instruments Japan K.K.” at.

But overall it's all a bit confusing because here it says something
completely different:

2021: Native Instruments’ majority owner is an investment company
called EMH Partners, which bought in to NI with €50m in 2017 before
taking a majority stake in 2020. Now it is selling those majority shares
to another investment firm, Francisco Partners, although it will still have
a minority shareholding in the company.

Shares in NI Berlin are divided into EMH Partners and “Francisco
Partners”.

This means that there are shares of this company, but they are
distributed and traded directly. There is no stock trading. So you
cannot purchase shares as a “small investor” or private individual.

Every 8 months or so, I spent some time updating all the software in my music workstation. Last night, after updating most of them without a glitch, from Arturia to Steinberg, SSL to UAD, etc, I had the great idea to check NI Access for updates. This turned out to be a colossal mistake!

The application began by updating itself and then repeatedly prompted me to log in, almost 10 times. After escaping this login loop, it became hopelessly stuck on "Loading Products." I spent 2 frustrating hours troubleshooting: reinstalling, cleaning the registry, and running SFC, to no avail. I finally gave up.

If a company cannot invest in developing reliable software to manage its installations (and the only way to do it so); software that isn’t even for making music but merely for installing THE music software, it's impossible to trust them.

The latest version of Native Access is an absolute joke. It's always worked flawlessly on my machine but the latest update is a nightmare. From issues logging in to taking forever to scan my products. The 'update all' button stays grayed out for some reason and although updates happen in the background, the individual update buttons still show 'update' so you're never sure if the update has actually happened. Bizarrely the fonts all get messed up as well and the text is difficult to read.

How none of this has been picked up in testing is beyond me.
