Hi all,
It's finally happening, our oldest still available V1.x plug-in set has been refurbished big time.
Apart from the obvious - a modern and more usable UI - Filterscape, Filterscape Q6 and Filterscape VA have inherited all our latest technological advancements, from preset management to plug-in compatibility (AAX, CLAP, latest VST3, latest AUv2, latest macOS, etc.). And also, we have replaced ancient DSP code in EQs and filters with better sounding and more reliable algorithms based on state of the art analogue modeling techniques. Those avoid low end rumble and DC artifacts which happen in standard DSP filters when modulating them.
Furthermore, we added beautiful sounding analogue modeled State Variable Filters - not just with typical 12dB/Oct responses, but also very rare topologies that have 18 & 24 dB/Oct responses with simultaneous HP/BP/LP/Notch outputs. These are non-linear models with beautiful drive and behaviour. The newly curated factory library features those a lot!

Watching the walk-through now... looks/sounds marvelous!
I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

When this new Filterscape beta just because available, it had been years since I had used Filterscape. Particularly Filterscape VA it had been so long I barely remembered it. So when I tried the new F-VA beta, it was like a whole new synth.
At first I just assumed that the F-VA snapshot eq was global. But then I was making a new preset sound and I listened to what I was hearing and I thought, that's polyphonic! No way I thought, but I made a specific test and then hell yeah, it is polyphonic!
Since then I have been exploring the polyphonic Snapshot EQ in a variety of uses and it's a fantastic sound design tool! It's so easy to work with and very powerful! It's one of my favorite tools available in any synth today. I'm using F-VA constantly.
So thanks, and congrats on the release!

I know it doesn't support NKS but I made NKS templates for it all the same so we can at least control it in NI Keyboards (presets may come too in time):

btw I sneakily added higher res graphics to the Filterscape VA thumbnails in anticipation of the new KK models

Your makeover of Filterscape (and Q6 and wow, the FilterscapeVA) is truly awesome.
Congratulations and thank you so much!
In the video from the first post, there is a small segment where it's written "Formant morphing (male, female, child)".
Can someone please elaborate on what this refers to, and how it's done?

As with AU, AAX and CLAP, in VST3 we have all plug-ins in the same binary. Any VST3 executable file can contain multiple plug-ins and the hosts should expose them as separate plug-ins.

On the EQ-View, you can right-click and set a preset vowel. This is meant for the bandpass filter modes.krans wrote: ↑Tue Sep 12, 2023 6:51 pm Your makeover of Filterscape (and Q6 and wow, the FilterscapeVA) is truly awesome.

Now you can populate the 8 snapshots either by doing so or by populating a few, then interpolate between them.

Sounds fantastic, was an instant purchase.
Now, the only remaining u-he plugin, I've yet to buy is Uhbik. So that is likely next on my list.
Great work to everybody involved at u-he, on this massive Filterscape update!
