bug report as i dont see anywhere else to report it.
the clap version in bitwig doesn't respond to macros modulation. you can modulate with modulation lanes and it works fine but when trying to modulate with a macro knob it doesn't move. works fine in vst3.

That's something interesting, adding an about box with the link of this forum would help a bit on bug report.

I've just discovered this new version of Charlatan. It looks like it should have been called "Charlatan XXXL the big ultimate version".
What a leap forward !

I'm a big fan of Charlatan 2 I used to used as a go to synth every time I wanted to make quickly a rather simple sound I had in mind. It always sounds good.
I can't use it anymore, neither Charlatan 3 because I've currently no more PC. Hope this wont last too long.

I juste wanted to take the occasion to thanks A LOT karrikuh for these amazing synths and for giving them for free.

It's a VST3 file, not a dll... of course, the content is the same kind, but not compatible with VST2/VST1 protocol.

Hello!
The new Charlatan 3 won't work for me, so I would like to ask you, what may cause it?
It installs and appears in the plugin list of my Presonus Studio One 5 Artist, but when I try to "open" it (adding a new track) it just won't run, nothing happens at all. May this be related to the DAW I use, or my quite dated CPU which is AMD Phenom II X6 1055T? I'm on Windows 10 64bit Home edition.
The old Charlatan 2 works perfectly for me.

Charlatan3 uses SSE4.2 instructions, which your CPU doesn't support.

hi! is this just freeware or it is also open source? if it's open source, what license and wheres the repo? im trying to get this added to studio rack (explained below)

It's an open-source plugin manager called StudioRack:

The aim of the project is to provide a free open-source way to manage plugin dependencies and their versions. It would involve the following steps:

Publish a Github release containing the plugin source along with metadata plugins.json
Tag your Github repository with studiorack-plugin so it can be discovered
Wait for the studiorack-registry to index your plugin (every 24 hours)
Check the registry feed for your plugin to appear

Hello. I just wanted to chime in and thank you for this great synth! The only thing I'm missing is the ability to use more MIDI CCs as modulation inputs.
