Automata marks a departure from our usual soundsets. While previous releases from a single creative mind would focus on a specific musical style, this collection delves into a more technical and underrepresented aspect of Diva: motion!

The 300+ presets in Automata were crafted by seven esteemed sound designers – Bryan Lake, Chris Kay, Electric Himalaya, Howard Scarr, Viktor Weimer, Yuli Yolo, and Yuta Yoshimatsu. Each sound designer brought their own distinct approach into this project. We believe their collective expertise has resulted in something truly special!

Going beyond conventional note patterns from the arpeggiator, the incorporation of per-voice modulation and innovative LFO techniques elevates Diva into a dynamic tool for generating musical motion.

Sounds fantastic. No wonder why Diva has won KVR best sound quality award! :tu:

The patch names are also cool ("Akkord Ist Mord"). 8)

i bought it, but can't install the soundset? it says 'soundarchive not compatible'

Post

The soundset requires Diva 1.4.6 as a minimum. If your Diva version is older, you won't be able to install it.

It's a great soundset for the sounds contained therein and also for learning about how to do these kinds of things with Diva which has no 'standard' arp/sequencer as defined and presented in other synths like Zebra2 and Hive or even Bazille, but has on the other hand the great analog sound going for it. Some of these patches really trigger the 'how do they do that ?' type of reaction.

Yeah, when they guys came and said they'd make a sequence-based soundset for Diva, I went :nutter:, but when they showed me the first drafts I went

Laurent Bourgeon (Lotuzia - RIP) always used to say getting a new soundset is like getting a new synth, I'm not sure that is always the case but it definitely is for this one. Breathtaking sound design, easily one of the best sound sets I've bought for any synth. More like this please

Thank you aMUSEd for your wonderful compliment!

One more excuse to request a U-he 'drum machine' derivative, capable of hosting U-he plugins
or at least accessing/loading their sounds from the many U-he presetDB files, and recording a few tracks of beats by step or played...with latch mode. :hyper:
(I suppose proof again that I've never coded anything :( )
Happy 2024!
