First time poster, so I hope I've posted this in the correct place.

Im quite new to music production, my love is for experimental abstract soundscapes. I'm using only logic at the moment, no modular equipment (yet).

I would like to ask how I can get my sounds to "pop" like the example below.

The sound in question almost sounds like a raindrop hitting a Hollow drum or barrel (a modular sound no doubt)

I have managed to create a relatively similar sound using the alchemy synth, but I'm struggling to replicate the perfect crispness land get the mid to high frequencies to really pop as in the reference track.

Any advice is much appreciated.

Assuming you're close to the sound you want but need it mid/high frequencies to "pop" more, I would be reaching for an EQ first. Hard to say though, without hearing what you've got - could you post some audio of the sound you've made? Also, I didn't listen to the whole reference track, but if that sound you're referencing ever happens in isolation, you could just sample it?

Experiment with compression, lots of high end boosting with eq, distortion and clipping. Can add some reverb with a quick decay. And panning will be useful so each sound can stand out somewhere in the soundscape.
