Where to buy or get vocals, if you cannot record them?

How to do this, that and the other. Share, learn, teach. How did X do that? How can I sound like Y?

It's one way of getting original vocals, sang how you want, and even if you can't sing then the vocoder puts it in tune for you. The downside is that it rarely sounds natural like a real singer. Dpends on what you want out of vocals. For a proper singy song then outside of samples, unfortunately you will need a real singer.
Ehh, tbh I once tried to turn my male voice to a beautiful female voice. It was successful for some part, but it took so much effort in editing that it's not worth it.

Formant filters, pitch up, and loads of EQ to reduce the maleish parts.
RVC voice changing...easy stuff these days..https://www.tryreplay.io/

https://donkeyt.bandcamp.com/track/bystanders - both vocals are me.. :hihi:

I listened to that and was convinced. In fact I thought, “the girl sounds good, but who’s this guy?” :hihi:

When you have a band you don’t pay the other members unless you’re all playing paying gigs as a band. You do it for the experience and because you’re musicians who enjoy making music with other musicians.

If you’re not doing that, you’re sort of missing the whole point of being a musician.
tell me more :hyper:

Your voice sounds like Peter Gabriel meets Monk & Canatella. Listening to your entire album right now, really enjoying it.

Typical KVR.

Q: Where to buy or get vocals, if you cannot record them?

A: Civilization depends on some bullshit or other.
Anyone who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.

Nah, lots of helpful tips here from all ends of the spectrum. OP should be set.

The best part is you can cover "Don't Give Up" all by yourself.

You're a musician.
Musicians work with other musicians.
Find some.
No, it is more about funds and lack of equipment.

Thank you for setting the record straight about what "the" point of being a musician is. I'd struggled with this question for decades.

Yeah, I always thought it was about playing music, but it's good to know we all got it wrong and it's really about a social get-together. Obvs one cannot play music alone. Kinda makes me wonder WTF all those solo artists were thinking when they stopped being musicians and did whatever it is they do on their own.

Post

It's whatever one makes of it. It really is that simple. Do what works for you. Why this need to set rules for others?

There’s really no such thing as a solo artist, unless they’re a busker.
