Heya,

i need a hand please. ( M2mac / Ventura )
The plugin is a tipp, it´s freeware, it´s from Github.
It was just posted by @3lu5iv3

One has to disable gatekeeper, respectivly add some specific commands into "Terminal".
i don´t get it !

this is the link to the procedure
https://disable-gatekeeper.github.io/ description:

i´d like to try the option: "disable gatekeeper for one application only"....using "Terminal"
(allready tryed "disable gatekeeper" / No good idea anyway / i was not able to feed terminal my password )

it says:
Using Terminal

1. Open a terminal by pressing Cmd + Space, enter “Terminal” and open the application.
2. Run the following command: xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /path/to/Application.app. The path is case-sensitive and must point to the application bundle. (You can use Tab to complete file paths.)
vs. point 2. :_
i placed the Spectral Compressor.vst3 in my vst3 plugin folder.
so what do i type into "Terminal" ?
it says: xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /path/to/Application.app

i tryed:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Lybrary/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/SpectralCompressor.vst3
RE in Terminal: xattr: No such file:

guess i need help for a dumb noob

You spelled Library wrong

You can drag the file into Terminal and it'll automatically add the correct path.

Ohh, ......checked !

Terminal takes it now. (from what i can tell)
also: the path looks completly different than what i typed in.
But: rescanning the plugins from my host (GP) yields still to a failure message.
( ~Can´t open the plugin cause unable to scan for malware )

there is still something. No clue what
