Amplitude Imposer takes two stereo inputs, and imposes the amplitude envelope of the first one onto the second. It also has a feature where you can set a threshold level, and whenever the second signal's amplitude falls below it, it is automatically amplified up to the threshold, in order to give a more constant signal to the amplitude imposer part.
It's kind of like a compressor, but backwards.

| Product: | Brush Strokes |
| Developer: | ndc Plugs |
| Type: | Synth (Unclassified) |
| Price: | Free |
| OS&Formats: | |
Brush Strokes is an audio-visual instrument with a drawing-based interface. Sound is generated in a manner similar to scanned synthesis, with two oscillators whose waveforms are obtained by scanning the x- and y-axis positions of the trail drawn by the user. The larger the gesture, the louder the sound, and vice-versa, when the mouse is not moving, no sound is generated. Sending MIDI notes to it will change the pitch of the audio. If you click a mouse button, you will freeze the motion of the brush, and thus the waveforms for the two oscillators will also freeze. The position of the brush, and... [more]
| Product: | Buffer Synth |
| Developer: | ndc Plugs |
| Type: | Audio Recorder |
| Price: | Free |
| OS&Formats: | |
Writes the audio input to a buffer, allowing the user to then manipulate how the buffer is played back, with control over the size of the buffer, and the speed at which it is played back. Works best when used with a MIDI keyboard.... [more]
| Product: | Buffer Synth 2 |
| Developer: | ndc Plugs |
| Type: | Audio Recorder |
| Price: | Free |
| OS&Formats: | |
Buffer Synth 2 is a buffer manipulation plugin, designed to do a number of different things with audio buffers. It could be thought of as a cross between GRM Tools' Freeze and a wavetable synthesizer, in the way it can be used as either an effect-type plugin, or as an instrument in its own right. To get the most out of it, you'll need a relatively flexible plugin host - most importantly, one which will allow you to send MIDI data to effects plugins. Features: 2 separate buffers (88200 samples in size) - can record the incoming audio stream or WAV files can be loaded. Amp and Mod ADSRs. 2 LFOs... [more]
| Product: | Buffer Synth Alpha |
| Developer: | ndc Plugs |
| Type: | FSU |
| Price: | Free |
| OS&Formats: | |
Buffer Synth Alpha is a lo-fi performance effect. It reads the audio input into a buffer, and when it receives a MIDI note, plays back the contents of the buffer at the pitch of the note. Checking the Freeze Buffer parameter will stop the plugin reading audio into its buffer while the MIDI note is held, giving the familiar 'stuck buffer' effect.Note that this is not an 'alpha-version' but a finished plugin.... | Product: | Cycle Shifter |
| Developer: | ndc Plugs |
| Type: | Unspecified |
| Price: | Free |
| OS&Formats: | |
Cycle Shifter reads in a single cycle of input audio, then (at the end of the cycle) outputs it on top of the current input audio, repeating the process ad infinitum. It works best on long, sustained sounds like strings and pads, sounding like a strange kind of noisy/gentle distortion. You won't hear much effect on drums because they generally have such a high frequency content.... [more]
| Product: | Distortionator Mk2 |
| Developer: | ndc Plugs |
| Type: | Distortion / Overdrive / Amp |
| Price: | Free |
| OS&Formats: | |
Distortionator Mk2 is a simplistic distortion plugin, with two modes. The first mode is a modified threshold-type distortion (although the modification isn't particularly noticeable, sound-wise). The second mode is called Sine Wave distortion, although it's actually closer to frequency-modulation, as the audio input is used as the index to a sin() function.... [more]
| Product: | Feedback-y Thing |
| Developer: | ndc Plugs |
| Type: | Delay / Echo |
| Price: | Free |
| OS&Formats: | |
Feedback-y Thing is a simple delay set to work with very short delay times, and high feedback. It's probably most useful on guitars, as a kind of fake (amp) feedback effect.... [more]
| Product: | Fragmental |
| Developer: | ndc Plugs |
| Type: | Multi FX |
| Price: | Free |
| OS&Formats: | |
Fragmental is a complex multi-fx plugin incorporating a delay, granulator, three phase vocoder effects, a reversinator, and three types of modulation source. It incorporates a very flexible routing scheme capable of serial and parallel effects routings, and a new kind of modulation routing based on a kind of pie chart representation. This plugin was developed in conjunction with KVR member, shamann. The code for the phase vocoder effects comes from the PVOC plugins (Trans, Exag, Accum) . It should be noted that the presence of the phase vocoder effects mean the plugin has a constant delay of ... [more]
| Product: | Hard-Boiled Wonderland |
| Developer: | ndc Plugs |
| Type: | Synth (Additive) |
| Price: | Free |
| OS&Formats: | |
A simple 5 oscillator (monophonic) additive synth, with a simplistic scope so you can see what kind of waveform you're creating.... [more]
| Product: | Harmonical |
| Developer: | ndc Plugs |
| Type: | Synth (Unclassified) |
| Price: | Free |
| OS&Formats: | |
Harmonical is an unusual synth based on "spherical harmonics". Basically, instead of the usual saw/square wave, etc. oscillators, it uses a 3D sphere as a sound source, the vertices of which are modulated via spherical harmonics. It displays the sphere(s) in an OpenGL display.... [more]
| Product: | My First Step Sequencer |
| Developer: | ndc Plugs |
| Type: | Step Sequencer |
| Price: | Free |
| OS&Formats: | |
My First Step Sequencer is a simple 16-(or 8-)step sequencer aimed at children. It comes with a shuffle mode and a note randomize button, as well as a scale-forcing control, to make it so that you can only select notes within a particular scale. The notes are represented by animal heads in the carriage windows, with the velocities being represented by flowers on the carriage doors. The octave can be changed by clicking the body of the engine. A signal at the bottom right is a global mute - setting it down will stop the plugin from outputting MIDI data. The arrow at the bottom left can be used ... [more]
ndcPanner is a simple tempo-sync-able auto-panner, with an oscillator which has four possible waveforms (sine, saw, square and sample and hold).... [more]
ndcTrem+ is an updated version of ndcTrem (a simple tremolo with tempo-sync capabilities), which allows you to choose where in the oscillator's cycle it is reset to on the bar start, and also allows you to use it as an auto-panner.... [more]
| Product: | Particle Fountain |
| Developer: | ndc Plugs |
| Type: | Synth (Unclassified) |
| Price: | Free |
| OS&Formats: | |
Particle Fountain is a monophonic synth that attaches a sound (either a sawtooth or a square wave) to a bunch of particles, which move in a 2d space like a fountain. The particles' position in the space then determines certain aspects of the sound (frequency, amplitude, panning). There can be up to 200 particles in use at any one time.... [more]
| Product: | Physically - Modelled Drum |
| Developer: | ndc Plugs |
| Type: | Drum Synth |
| Price: | Free |
| OS&Formats: | |
Physically-Modelled Drum is a simple physically-modelled (rectangular) drum VSTi. The controls correspond to the physical parameters of the drum; Stiffness is the stiffness of the membrane, Initial Displacement is how much the membrane is moved initially, Mass is the mass of the membrane, Viscosity is the friction of the air (set it to 0 for a continuous sound), and Output From is the specific node in the 2d grid from where the output is read from. This plugin uses a simplistic damped mass-spring technique to simulate a physical membrane. For more information, see www2.hku.nl/~cees2/drums. T... [more]
| Product: | Random Pattern Delay |
| Developer: | ndc Plugs |
| Type: | Delay / Echo |
| Price: | Free |
| OS&Formats: | |
A pitched (i.e. very short) delay effect, with a pattern sequencer to control it. Not the most useful plugin, but you might find a place for it if you like weird electronic noises.... [more]
| Product: | Reversinator |
| Developer: | ndc Plugs |
| Type: | FSU |
| Price: | Free |
| OS&Formats: | |
Reversinator, a "simplistic realtime audio-reversing plugin"!The input audio is read into a 88200-sample buffer, which has two read pointers (going in the opposite direction of the write pointer), half the buffer apart. The sound from each pointer is mixed according to a raised cosine type envelope, to ensure the volume is constant, and that you never hear the discontinuity between the previous data and the new data being written in.... | Product: | Rhythmic Metalisation Delay |
| Developer: | ndc Plugs |
| Type: | Delay / Echo |
| Price: | Free |
| OS&Formats: | |
A fairly simple delay plugin which also has a 'Rhythmic Mode'. Basically this alters the delay time in a sequence using very short delay times, which gives a characteristic 'metallic' sound, and effectively allows you to turn previously un-pitched sounds (such as a drum loop), into pitched sequences. Also syncs to the host's tempo.(Note that some older VST hosts do not provide the timing information that the plugin requires to sync itself to the host's tempo.)... [more]
| Product: | Simple Colour Organ |
| Developer: | ndc Plugs |
| Type: | Unspecified |
| Price: | Free |
| OS&Formats: | |
Simple Colour Organ is a simple OpenGL plugin based on the 'colour organ' ideas of people like Father Louis Bertrand Castel and A. Wallace Rimington, where musical notes are seen as corresponding to specific colours. The plugin is strictly a visual instrument – it does not output any sound. Instead colour is displayed when you hit a key. There are 7 colour palettes included – 6 of which are based on the palettes by the aforementioned Father Castel and Rimington, as well as Alexander Scriabin (all obtained from here), while the seventh is a pastel 'scale' of ndc Plugs own devising.... | Product: | Soul Force! |
| Developer: | ndc Plugs |
| Type: | Distortion / Overdrive / Amp |
| Price: | Free |
| OS&Formats: | |
Soul Force! is basically a waveshaper, but the shape control can be modulated using the feedback control and source switch, which makes things a lot more interesting. Source code is available.... [more]
| Product: | Spongerific Audio Toaster |
| Developer: | ndc Plugs |
| Type: | Analyser / Monitor |
| Price: | Free |
| OS&Formats: | |
A strange little frequency tracking/tone-generating plugin. When the input level goes above a certain threshold, the frequency of the input signal is analysed very roughly (basically it just counts the zero-crossings), and a sine wave of that frequency is then generated.... [more]
| Product: | Stretch & Squash |
| Developer: | ndc Plugs |
| Type: | Modulation (Flanger / Phaser / Chorus / Tremelo) |
| Price: | Free |
| OS&Formats: | |
A kind of frequency modulation effect. Basically, a sine wave is used to modulate the speed at which the input signal is played back at (i.e. stretching and squashing the audio). To do this, a buffer is employed, which also allows the input audio to be output in reverse.... [more]
| Product: | Tempo Sync Reverser |
| Developer: | ndc Plugs |
| Type: | FSU |
| Price: | Free |
| OS&Formats: | |
Tempo Sync Reverser will reverse the input sound for a set (tempo-synced) length of time when you hit the Reverse button. You can use use a MIDI CC or note to trigger the reversing operation.... [more]
| Product: | The Modulator 2 |
| Developer: | ndc Plugs |
| Type: | Modulation (Flanger / Phaser / Chorus / Tremelo) |
| Price: | Free |
| OS&Formats: | |
A comprehensive modulation effect, offering 3 types of modulation of audio signals: amplitude modulation, ring modulation, and frequency modulation. There are three audio sources (audio input, oscillator, .wav file player), all of which may be used as either the modulator signal, or the carrier signal (and in some cases, both simultaneously). Also includes a fairly comprehensive MIDI implementation.... [more]
