Skale Tracker

Since the program in its last incarnation 0.8.1 is from 2005, the download link doesn't work anymore. Skale has obviously found a last resort on scene.org: skale01.zip on scene.org .It does run on Windows10 (even without comptatibility mode), but I don't know if it really works, that has to be tested by someone who nows this tracker.

There's at least 6 places one can download this just search out... Even though never to leave beta status it's a very good tracker... Soundfonts sound quite terrible in it but AKAI akp instruments sound excellent actually better than renoise XRNI in renoise... Has chord mode just engage 'record' on as many VU meters as you wish move line skip (ADD) to zero or leave at any skip for 'arping'... Very nice mixer looks like a mini-orion mixer... Has ability to draw/activate many different envelopes for filters/volume/pan so that every time a note is triggered on a particular instrument the next envelope will be triggered & will cycle to the end then start over for a sort of 'envelope round robin'... Pattern commands can be invoked in standard fashion or use the track editor drawing a vertical envelope with mouse for pattern commands fast & convenient... Can use VSTi-VST but rather 'picky' no way using synthedit VSTi but much more forgiving with synthedit FX best use in Skale is AKAI instruments thru VST FX since AKAI instruments are samples all FX & envelopes are availlable... Big Sound! Also includes a VSTi version of Skale that works quite well has numerous 'outs' & any amount of composition can be done inside Skale either full-on or just use as an instrument inside the host... One can export to 32-bit float & also each track it's own export as well, Much more!.
