4Front Technologies have announced the release of 4Front Rhode Pro 1.0 Windows VSTi.
4Front Rhode is a vintage Rhodes/Wurly typed piano module with gentle overdrive.
This module reproduces the classic sound similar to Rhodes/Wurlitzer pianos. The module is not sample based, the sound is generated on-the-fly, therefore there are 127 layers with vintage rhodes smooth overdrive, clean and continuous.
Apparently, unlike many other software modules and samplers, this module will never overload CPU. It will never stick notes, and never interrupt the sound during live performances.
The basic version is free and lacks the envelope, sensitivity/drive and room controls, that the Pro version has. The Pro version is available for online purchase for $30.
Presets are compatible between basic and Pro versions.
