Version 4.0 of Convolver, from convolver.sf.net, is now available. This new release includes the first VST version of the plug-in.

Changes since v3.10:

  • Added mono convolverVST.
  • Put up property page when no filter loaded, so that the user has an opportunity to load filter first time through.
  • Internal interface tidying.

The convolverVST plug-in currently has the following limitations:

  • It provides only 1 channel in and 1 channel out, and so will accept only mono filters (stereo and speaker configuration handling will be added in due course).
  • It uses the host application's default editor / graphical user interface.
  • Once the filter is selected when convolverVST is first loaded, it cannot be changed without restarting the plug-in.
  • User feedback is limited. This limitation will be addressed once the basics are more fully tested.
  • There is no specific MIDI support.
  • There is no offline processing support.
