Sample Magic have released Disco & Funk Keys 2 and Synthwave 2.
Disco & Funk Keys 2 (£14.90) is SM Studio's return with a second edition serving of MK1 Fender Rhodes and Wurlitzer loops "oozing" with classic disco and funk flavours. Recorded using classic amps and mics for an authentic old school sound, these loops are designed to slot seamlessly into disco, house and even techno productions.
Packed with over 120 all-new key-labeled melodic motifs across three tempo groups (120, 125 and 130BPM), SM has also included MIDI versions of each loop to offer creative control over each loop.
Recorded using a selection of vintage amps - such as the Roland JC120 Jazz Chorus - and classic mics (Neumann U87 and Rode NT2), the internal volume circuitry of the Rhodes was bypassed entirely to avoid unwanted earth hum from the volume and bass pots - a particularly common difficulty when recording these classic keyboards.
Designed to offer stacks of instant top line inspiration, many of these track-starting loops are offered with accompanying 'family' loops for full melodic arrangement possibilities.
With funk fanatic and instrumental enthusiast Julian Chown at the helm, Disco & Funk Keys 2 aims to deliver timeless instrumentation and accomplished musicianship direct to your DAW.

Synthwave 2 (£34.90) is 1.4GB of drum machine grooves, epic arpeggios, galactic synths, lush pads and emotive chords fusing Tron-style synthetics and 80s pop sensibilities to define the sound of the decade.
After the success of Synthwave it was only a matter of time before SM got the guys to reboot their vintage machines for another exploration of all things 80s. Packed once again with hundreds of classic beats and catchy melodics - all processed through retro outboard for an authentic 80s vibe - the collection merges synth pop, retro electro and new wave influences.
