I love this synth. I bought it a couple days ago, with a 1/2 price sale at Cakewalk. It does an amazing job of producing real-sounding percussion without any samples. It can even do more than percussion, i.e. pads, and leads. The interface is simple, and very pleasing to the eyes. Comes in 64 & 32 bit versions. Seems extremely stable, and light on CPU. Here's a piece I did recently, that uses only Chromaphone, plus Valahalla Room for reverb: http://soundcloud.com/mike-leghorn/neptunian-distractions

Oh yes this physical modelling synth is astounding.

I use it on almost every project since I got it exactly one year ago!

Sometimes when I feel it's not natural enough or want to make more textured sounds I layer it with real acoustic sounds and the results are amazing. The combination of pseudo-real with real acoustic sounds really really good.

Also it can make really really nice kicks snares hihats etc for dance music and beyond.

One of the best deals in audioland!

I agree! This is an amazing synth! The guys over at Applied are helpful and fantastic too! I had the pleasure of doing a demo for them last year using this plugin and I was amazed at how user friendly it is.
