Hi,
For me on a PC, with a fresh new SSD drives and a fresh install of windows 7 64-bit on it, the largo 64-bit plugins both VST2 and VST3 cause my newly installed Cubase 7.5 64-bit to crash as well as Reaper 64-bit. Both when selecting the VST3 plugin or scanning for the VST2 one.
I run as an administrator.

The current beta/update seems to contain a fix that maybe helps but i could not really test as i did not had a crash before (i am on Reaper 4.6 64-bit and Windows 7 64-bit).duyhoang wrote:Does anyone have the same problem that Largo keeps Reaper crashed in Win 8.1 64 bit ?
No single crash with Windowss 7 64-bit, Reaper 4.61 64-bit and Live 9.1.2 64-bit here so far (also with some older beta versions).Rommelaar wrote:Hi,

The new fix mentioned above mostly seems to help when someone is installing Largo for the first time (you mentined you got a fresh install). This is difficult to reproduce on my own test system.

My two cents would be missing c++ runtime library files, cause that would be easy to overlook and a pain to Beta test with fresh systems.

Hi guys,
i see only a Mac version for Largo 64bit on Waldorf's download page. Is the Win version available for beta testers only?
thanks

Yeah, I grabbed it while I could. Maybe EvilDdragons upload is still available, read a few pages back. But to be honest don't hold your horses. I did not expect both VST2 and VST3 windows 64-bit plugin to fail on my clean system.

As already mentioned there seems to be a fix in the current Beta that should prevent crashes while the host is scanning for the Largo plugin.
It looks like Largo (or the installer) has to create a folder called:
c:\users\(name)\appdata\roaming\Waldorf\Largo
Most betatesters and users of the old Largo version should already have that folder and in that case mostly no crashes are observed (like in my case for example...). This is a fix that could hardly be found by a beta tester or a user.

Thanks Ingo,
I think you gave me an idea for a workaround. Install the old largo, after that install the new.

It works !
I only made the directory Ingo suggested, without installing the old largo. Then I installed only the 64-bit VST3 plugin of Largo for Windows. It works like a charm in Win7 64 Cubase 7.5 64-bit.

Nice to hear indeed and also good that the fix is quite simple (while not simple to find that fix...).D-Fusion wrote:Good to hearRommelaar wrote:It works !

The next official installer will create that folder automatically.
