Hi,
firstly, Congratulations with Effectrix. It's an awesome plugin, that not only has a great interface but sounds really amazing. The quality of the effects is superb!
I'm encountering a few problems on a Mac running 10.5.2 within Ableton Live 7.0.2
When inserted into a session in Live, changing the tempo in Live causes heavy CPU spikes. Turning off the plugin, but keeping it inserted in the session has the same ill effect. I use tempo changes a lot, so it makes this plugin unusable in most of my tracks.
Another thing that is worrying me is when it is in Live, my computer shows strain, yet Live's CPU meter looks normal. I checked Activity Log and a process called "syslogd" (which logs any activity) goes crazy and uses 40-96% of the CPU. If I remove the Effectrix from Live, the "syslogd" process goes back to normal and only uses 0 - 2%. I've been monitoring this all day and the "syslogd: meter only freaks out when Effectrix is in use
Is anyone else on a Mac noticing this? Any advice?
thanks
Effectrix Mac, 10.5.2, tempo spikes & syslog
