Egoist: How to Play Slice Keys When Triggering Patterns?

Manual>>Slice Keys are mapped from C-3. When Slice Keys are activated, pattern keys can still be triggered starting from C-1.
This isn't working for me. If I trigger patterns in host sequencer, I have to be in pattern mode, so slice keys don't respond.
If I switch to slice mode, I can play slice keys but patterns don't play.
How can I do both at the same time?

Hi Musical Gym,
please note that using the Pattern Keys in Slice Key mode is only intended to switch to the appropriate pattern so that you can trigger the respective slices and not intended to let a pattern start playing. So the only workaraound would be to duplicate the track and to use two instances of Egoist at the same time. One in Slice Key mode and one in Pattern mode.
Best,
Nadine
