Tried searching but couldn't find this request.
Feature to dock the above menus say on the right side of the application window.
Possibly having them as TABS as well.
Thanks

Did you know that you can make the browsers (not the inspectors) a separate window?
In version 1.0 the browsers were put on the left side of the workspace. I'll show you a very old v1.6 screenshot where the inspectors and browsers were tabs but they took a lot of screen space:
We take all suggestions seriously and improve the UI all the time.
Thanks,
Attila

Thanks. Wasn't aware of that. So many options in the settings.musicdevelopments wrote:Did you know that you can make the browsers (not the inspectors) a separate window?

Hello Attila!
Now my RC works like this:
Phrase: alt + drag = rhythm transfer
ctrl + drag = copy of phrase
shift + drag = does not work in any way
But how do I drag midi file from RC?
There's some kind of confusion ...
Thank you.

Dragging a track as a MIDI file is Ctrl-dragging the track name.
Dragging the whole song as a MIDI file is Ctrl-dragging the 'file' icon (first icon from the left).
Dragging a single phrase as a MIDI file is not implemented yet.

I forgot to add that you can limit the length of the song or track to be dragged by making a selection on the timeline. Which means you can drag a single bar in a single track if you want.
If I remember well, the muted tracks are excluded from dragging.
Thanks,
Attila

I don't know if this has ever been otherwise , but...
Shortcut Spacebar - described as Start/Stop Playback
seems not actually different than
Shortcut Shift and return - described as Start/Stop Playback & Jump to Playback start position
What I wish for
Shortcut Spacebar - Starts/stops playback at the current playhead position. Would like mouse click on play arrow to be the same.

I don't understand this. Spacebar is the same as clicking on the Play button. It starts playback at the current position and it is not the same as Shift-Return. The playhead does not jump anywhere when you press Space. It always worked like that. Why does this work differently on your setup??? (I have tried this on macOS and Windows)

"Why does this work differently on your setup??? "
If I knew, I'd make it stop!
This Win7Sp1-64bit, running b15 x64
Spacebar and shift return- same - as described above. Click on play button will start from start, and then nothing further for more clicks. Have to press the stop button, which makes it jump back to beginning, then click starts from start...
EDIT: Hadn't installed the newer rev there, so can confirm it acts as described in b13 - 32 bit too.
EDIT2:
Removed both 32/64 bit version installs, and the RC directory in C:\Users\<UserName>\Documents.
Installed 32 bit ver of 3.45. (NOTE: I WISH I could paste my auth code into the validate form!)
Now the spacebar starts and stops from the playhead position.
Shift return starts from the playhead position and returns to that (previous stopped) position if pressed again!
(NOTED - both of those align w/the snap setting. Not 'partial' timings.)
Clicks on the start arrow, never pause the playhead. (So, would still like that)
Exited and re-ran the app several times to verify this was consistent.
EDIT3:
Removed 32install, and the RC directory in C:\Users\<UserName>\Documents.
Installed 32 bit ver of 3.45b15
Verified it was the same as above fresh 3.45 install.
So, it is something being changed in use...
EDIT4: Installed 64 bit and confirmed it is same (as designed). Attempted binary compare of settings files, but too many items. So copied problem install settings over clean install settings.
Now spacebar and shift return are the same, with the initial behavior of shift return. Acts that way in both bit versions. Saved the settings directory to SettingsGoDupe.zip
Restored the settings directory from the clean install, and independent behaviors are restored.
Have sent you the zip file mentioned.

Atilla,
Thanks again.
For this (self-inflicted ) problem look in:
Settings > Miscellaneous > Editing
-----
"(NOTED - both of those align w/the snap setting. Not 'partial' timings.) "
Settings > Miscellaneous > Editing -----
"(NOTED - ...
Clicks on the start arrow, never pause the playhead. (So, would still like that)"
Could not find a switch for this one

On the history tab:
For clean up
Would be nice to have multi-select! (Tried any combos I thought of...)
(Standard Win stuff/Mac equivalents)
Control + click for grouping individuals
Shift + click for range select
