What do you do with RapidComposer?
Did you create an interesting musical idea, or a nice composition with RapidComposer?

I'm very pleased to inaugurate this collection of songs made by RapidComposers lovers.

Being just an amateur, music was only a hobby for me during all the years of my now ended career in another domain. Music takes now almost all my time (with astronomy and of course always the same passion to the sciences of life and the history of the Earth).

My musical influences, as you'll understand easily in this first tune, are the classical music (essentially the romantic period) and the new age, but also... the far-eastern music of China, Japan, Vietnam and sometimes India. I've been playing Erhu (a chinese two string violin that one put vertically on the thigh) and many flutes (european but also native american and indian, chinese, japanese) for more than 45 years (and I'm 55 now). As it was very easy to do, I carried some flutes with me in all my professional travels for years and years across the world for sciences of the history of the Earth and history of life. I'll present my humble tries of far-east influenced music composed in RC in some next tunes...

I made this little tune, called "Le printemps approche" (which in french means "Spring is approaching") about 15 days ago, as a renewed love expression to my wife. We met only five years ago, sharing the same passions for the nature, and since this day she, and her tenderness, is all the treasure of my life. This instrumental song is composed entirely in RapidComposer (as all the next will be from now on), with three instruments played by Sampletank 2.5 XL: a piano, a strumming guitar and an arpegging guitar. There is nothing else, even no effect except a very slight reverb on each instrument.

It reminds me several old tunes of Mike Oldfield... The emulated voice, but also the rhythm and the sounds used.

Woah! I love all these symphonic compositions!

Funny, in DMIN SemiRizer 004 the percussions (timpani?) have nearly the same sound as the largest japanese taikos...

Araf is a wonderful mix of oriental and occidental sounds and styles. Ma, ma, ma... Incredibly beautiful!

4xIDEA-4melo(DMAJ) (Sketchs) is wonderful also in its totally different style (but I've felt it a little bit too loud).

I'll say probably something naive since I don't know you despite that I read your posts in our RC forums for just three months... but I'm sure your job is to make movie soundtracks with real musicians. If not... you should!

yes i am working , cooperating with real musicians since 2001
also making music for the commercials in general ( must pay the bills

)

DMIN SemiRizer rhythm track is a collage of taiko and large drums.
about the soundtrack / score , my part is "mostly" technical ..mixing polishing etc.
and i hope this will change in time.

Another nice composition from Alexander Ruhloff, posted with his kind permission. This was created with different types of phrase generators (fingerpicking, bass, chord, melody), with 4 instances of Alchemy and one NI Maschine for the drums:

A good bit of RC default generations found here. Despite the lack of variation (should have put more time in), I think it shows some pleasant results from using the idea generator and RC in general. Most things are simply RC phrase creations with the exception of the sloppy horror/improv/delayed/reverbed rhodes play, the intro, drums and a few other bits. Using RC was definitely a strong basis in creating this song in conjunction with personally selecting the chords within RC. Think of it as an AIR 'Virgin Suicides' influenced track.
