One of the techniques that seems to be widespread when creating a great metal tone is using multiple takes and then panning them left and right. It seems that as a minimum most guitar players like 4 while I've seen examples of 8.
So they will have to 1 take each go 100% left, 70% left, 70% right, 100% right.
It seems that the key is separate individual takes.
Do you have any suggestions about how to accomplish this with Shreddage? I've tried humanzing the midi tracks slightly to create variance, but then I have multiple midi tracks to edit if I want to make a change to the writing.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!

Our double / quad track setup basically does this by providing different recordings for each track. I'm assuming you're using that already?
