Hello again.

So, I have an issue with panning and tracks going center/jumping to where they shouldn't be, and I have no idea why.

DT is GTR 1 + GTR 2, and I also tried GTR 1 + GTR 3.
They are hard-panned 100% L and 100% R in Reaper, and I even added a Pan envelope onto the MIDI itself.
It still jumps, so I was told to post parts of the MP3 and MIDI here, so.

That link doesn't work. MEGA says it is an empty cloud drive.

As for the tracks jumping to the center, I assume that might be a phasing issue. Are you using the latest version of Shreddage 2/IBZ? Try using just one instance of Shreddage, and set it to stereo double mode. That will automatically play a single MIDI input as one track hard left, and another track hard right.

Try attaching the MIDI to the KVR post itself? I'm not able to access the link either...

But yeah, try the stereo DT option as that should stay 100% in sync!

Ah! Hey guys, sorry for the trouble.

I tried running as Double Stereo, and DS works just fine.
Yesterday when I was trying to post the .MP3 and .mid files it didn't let me. "The extension mp3 (or) mid is not allowed."

Here are new working links:

I'm now about to start a melodic DM song so I really do need to double-track now.

If stereo double is working, I would definitely use that - you can set most amps to interpret the left and right signals differently, or use mono tracks in your host. That is what I designed that feature for - ease of getting a nice DT sound.

That being said, I'm also having trouble replicating an issue with double tracking the old-fashioned way. Here is exactly what I did.

1. Loaded one instance of Shreddage 2 v3_19. No changes made to the patch.

2. Loaded another instance of the same patch, but set this one to DT Guitar 2, MIDI channel 1 (same as the first), and output pair 2.

3. In my host, panned the outputs LEFT and RIGHT.

4. Pasted the MIDI data on to Kontakt.

Here is the clean result... I'm not hearing any collapsing to center here.

Are you using Shreddage2 v3_19? Have you tried using just one MIDI track of data?

It is indeed working, yes. I use BIAS FX as amp sim, and Shreddage2 v3_19.

Your list of actions mirrors mine. That's exactly how I set it up, spare from #4. What do you mean with pasting MIDI data into Kontakt?
Did you mean to say DAW by chance, or am I missing something? I did read through the entire manual step-by-step to troubleshoot.

Also, I have to ask, is it possible to change picking-style in the middle of a score in some way without having another instance loaded with a specific style?

This can be done via keyswitch. I can't remember which keys triggers up/downstrokes only but refer to the manual.
Or if you were referring to tapping mode, I believe either that has its own keyswitch or you have to set it manually to have one. Can't remember.

I need chugging, so downstrokes only. Also, the problem remains, I'm uploading new files now.
I do not own a synthesizer so I work only with the... piano roll thingy.

When you say "MONO", what do you mean, zircon? There is a MONO mode, but that simply limits the strings, right?

New files..

In the MIDI file, you can hear, at the middle, there's a shift for one guitar, however as you can hear in the audio file, both guitars do the shift, which, as you can see in the midi file, only one should.

I'm sorry for all this, I really am... I'm new to this, so it probably is something really stupid.
The tracks are panned L and R respectively in REAPER.

Here's the song I am going to remake.. I am NOT satisfied with how it sounds now (to be honest, it sounds like shit), but it has this really freaking mean-sounding chorus that I just love, and am proud of having come up with! I really am craving to remake it, but for that... I gotta be able to multi-track.

Looking at the MIDI, I see there are 2 different MIDI tracks - one for each guitar. Since the MIDI tracks are different, the stereo double mode won't work for that.

These are the steps I would do for 2 different guitar tracks:

1. Open 2 instances of Shreddage.
2. Let's say that the Guitar II track is set to MIDI channel 1, and the Guitar III track is set to MIDI channel 2.
3. Set the input of Shreddage instance 1 to channel 1. Set the DT to GTR 1.
4. Set the input of Shreddage instance 2 to channel 2. Set the DT to GTR 2.
5. Pan one of the Shreddage instances left, and the other instance right.

Now since there are 2 different MIDI performances on 2 instances of Shreddage, it's possible that phasing might occur. There are a few things to do that may fix that; try delaying/nudging one track by a few milliseconds, and detune the other by a few cents (as suggested by OneDaySky from the Ultimate Metal forum).

Okay! I'll try it. Thank you, Synthoridity! ^-^
