I know this is not specifically about SoundIron, but thought this may be a good place to try..
i have Requiem Light, and i am setting up a back up computer .. it runs XP, i own Kontakt 5, but just want to put Kontakt Player on my backup as i will do no work real work on it. I tried to get Kontakt Player from NI, but there version is 5.3 and won't install on XP.. i have version 4. but Requiem requires 5.. the only version that satisfies both is 5.1 but i can't find it anywhere..
anyone have any suggestions? i tried EvilDragon's trick of uniextrating 5.3 but that was over my head..

Try to install it with Microsofts Application Verifier utility.
The steps are the same as described here : http://www.psychomix.org/old/audio/ni-k9-on-vista-x64
Namely, to use the HighVersionLie parameter to fake Win7 version for kontakt.

You can download Kontakt 5.1 from NI website. Log in to your account. Click 'My Account' on top. You can find 'Drivers & Updates' in drop down menu.puerileboy wrote:install on XP.. i have version 4. but Requiem requires 5.. the only version that satisfies both is 5.1 but i can't find it anywhere..

gsalvadi is right, you should be able to access previous versions of Kontakt through your NI account at their website. You can also still use most of the Requiem Light presets in Kontakt 4.2.4 in this current version (2.5), but they lack Time Machine Pro tempo-synching and time-stretching features that are new to Kontakt 5.
