Bidule now fully supports both formats including their presets. Sonar has recently added this too for VST3. T6 is falling behind now.

OK clearly this is not getting heard. Look here is how it should look in a host that gets preset support right:

note this is for native plugin formats of course - those that rely on the host to load and save them (which isn't true for all these days but that's probably largely because devs got fed up with so many hosts getting it wrong) - this is the VST3 (vstpresets) but AU (aupresets) and VST2 (fxp) support in Bidule is exactly the same.

Here's what we get in T6 - AU:

which is pretty useless for a plugin like Padshop that has thousands of presets organised by subfolders.

For VST3 it's even worse - you can't load or save anything:

please add the code that enables this, it was possible for the Bidule devs to do it - you need to take this more seriously, what is the point of supporting a plugin format but not its presets? It's just half way support.

So are we going to have to wait for the next version to get full support for this very basic aspect of plugin support; support for its presets? Or even longer?

This is particularly important right now because the AU versions of Steinberg plugins are bugfests but the VST3 versions of the synths, which are the only alternative, rely on the host to load presets.

Just an FYI - it's more of a juce problem than a tracktion one, and it's on our juce backlog as something to do. Can't promise when we'll have time to do it, but everyone's aware of it, thanks!

Ok, I've tried to add support for vstpreset file reading now. The files should be found and organised correctly from the "Load" menu.
However, I'm still really struggling to find plugins to test this out with. It seems to work fine with "McDSP 6020 Ultimate EQ" but Padshop is unresponsive.

If you could give it a test on a wider range of plugins that would be much appreciated.
(N.B. this will be in v9.0.23 which may not be the next version to be uploaded as we built v9.0.22 last night and hope to push this out this evening.)
