Guys,
Please forgive me if there's a better way to find out this information. If there's a better way, let me know!
I'm looking for a VST that will reduce background hiss/hum. Something that will "learn" them hum then get rid of it. I was previously using Audacity but there must be a FREE VST for this somewhere out there...

Some most famous alternative developers:
Izotope, Waves, Soundsoap, Voxengo.None good free vsts, as far as I know. Better just be ready to give a few bugs to get rid of your dirt.

There are also several the products from Wave Arts for noise removal.
http://wavearts.com/products/plugins/mr-noise/
While they aren't cheap, they offer a nice demo period. If it's for a single project you might be able to get it done during the evaluation period.
I haven't run these plug-ins in several years, so I am not sure how well they work with Tracktion.
Presently, I use RX4 for this type of thing or in a pinch, Audacity.

This one is the best I ever tried: http://www.waves.com/plugins/ns1-noise- ... w-and-demo
But yeah, it's also quite expensive...
