Yeah, second beta without linux - I'm worried. I bought 1.4 way back when especially because of the Linux XT2 was promised to have. I hope that at least the next release will get a Linux version.

Bummer. Linux was the main reason I took interest in this project to begin with.

I am not using linux at the moment, but I hope final version will appear as linux binary also.

He needs to compile the VSTs first before even thinking about Linux, XT was a VST for a lot of us long time before it was anything else, it is bad enough that it isn't X64 VST , but no VSTs at all of the latest versions is terrible.

Concerning VST versions:
Jorgen never supplied VST versions of energyXT betas - at least in the last 6 years. Only for final versions VST versions were available. One could debate if this is wise, but I guess Jorgen has his reasons for this approach.
I think there is no real objective to worry that VST versions will be dropped.
Concerning Linux:
Yes, it's a bit strange, that there are no Linux betas, but I can't image why Jorgen should drop support for Linux. Nowhere he ever mentioned that he would give up Linux and I'm quite sure the final version will also be available for Linux. Maybe he just never/rarely got bug reports from Linux users and thus sees no need to deliver a beta for Linux? Because that's all about betas. They go out to let users test if they work and get some feedback.

Yes i would agree normally, but considering the last final update was Nov 2011, I think it is safe to say it is objective to worry the updates will never happen.ZonderP wrote:Concerning VST versions:

PS XT1.4 betas always had the VST/VSTi versions)

Hmm, the question there about the Linux betas from March 26 hasn't been answered, although Jorgen posts in that thread and must have seen it. Very disappointing that it's simply ignored. I'm losing hope.ZonderP wrote:It promises to fix all issues mentioned here:
