I'm actually surprised to see this thread on kvr.. I love the multiosc detuned 'typical (as some might say)' trance sound too.. but when I write a song with them I get 'cheesey sounds' comments on kvr.. :o hehe

in any event.. I've been noodling around in Synthedit working on a synth built for me.. with the multiosc sound..

here is a clip of 2 different synths.. one is mine and the other is superwave.. they are sonically pretty close but not 100% the same.. I think at this point my synth is a bit more cpu efficient.. though I dont have any effects yet so that will probably change. :hihi:

I must say this.. learning that one can GROUP and BUNDLE elements in synthedit has made it 1000x easier to get an idea out of my head.. I used to struggle with having a gob of wires on my screen.. but now I just have oscillator bundle.. envelope bundle... effects bundle.. etc makes it a snap.. (well not exactly a snap but much more managable)

outside of that.. I'd recommend the softplug adventus.. its a synthedit-made synth.. and is perfect for trancey leads and various sounds.. different feel than the superwave products imo.

.
I can hear the difference. The second one has slightly more bass, or should I say, it's more full at the bottom end. The effect is more audible on lower C .

:shrug: hehehe.. for the record though the second one is mine..

I agree about the bassiness, but also, the first one seems to have more "animation" - the detune-ness is more buzzy/up-and-down, while the second one is a straighter tone. Similar sounds, though.

Well the next thing for me is to get VANGAURD and see what it has to offer. But i am gonna get my new PC first .

@aljenaero: Calling someone on KvR a smartass is like calling an occupant of the zoo an animal--it's pretty much a given. Join the club!

@VitaminD: Don't worry--when he calls you a smart ass, he's only half right! :D

superwave p8?

it's a really easy synth to program, dunno about performer tho' perhaps a manual is required for that one.
