Hey there,

here's your chance to take a look at our newest plug-in: PhaseBug... but beware it's still in beta mode... please read the PDF manual...

PhaseBug - Phase Alignment Plugin

You are able to adjust only the phase of your audio signal. The phase information without a relation is nearly inaudible for human ears, but there are several application area for that anyway.

Also doubles as a mono-maker, since there's a switch for mono summing in order to check phase relations.

The plugin is nearly finished. You can report any oddities on the betabugsaudio forum, where you can also find the most current versions.

i would really like to see a mac osx x vst version.
any chance?
and i really miss vst versions of many other betabug plugs.

well if you add Betabugs to your KvR watched lists of devs then you will get a notification... since we usually announce our releases here...

Is PhaseBug similar to Voxengo's PHA-979, or (at +90 deg) to let's say the FIR filter available in Bidule (tha last one being a Hilbert transform) ?

Another graet plug

I am experimenting in FL by layering two kicks, sending one to the right, one to the left channel, then using phasebug to sort them out together. Works great with some interesting results. When done, I can leave it as is or bounce a corrected kick sample for further use. Tried the same thing with a pad: identical samples one panned left, the other to the right channel for some widening fun.

...this is my favourite plugin by Betabugs yet and I can't wait for the upgrade...and I was wondering if there is anything that can be done about the latency?

I can't speak for Christian, but I believe it uses an FFT with a fixed block size. We didn't want to worry about realtime usage, since it's primarily for phase correction. We suspected that people would find creative uses for it, but we didn't design it from the bottom-up to be creatie so much as corrective.
