Absynth automation

I don't seem to be able to find many paramters that are able to be automated in absynth.
At the moment I'd really like to automate the transcribe/ratio/hz etc control but I can't really see how thats possible in cubase. I have a couple of bcontrols so I'd really like to pull off strong midi control of absynth but from what I read in the manual and what I see in the vst I've got no chance of even automating discrete levels of each oscilator.
I can obviously do a realtime record of what I want but its a fairly unexact sport.
Any insights or docs people can point me too?

I think you need to assign the parameters that you wish to automate to the sliders that are on Absynth's main screen. But I'm not sure if all the parameters can be assigned or not. I always found Absynth a little awkward in this regard.

On the Env page there's a button "New Env" (it's above the envelopes you are currently using.)
There you can select what you want automatable.
For example if you make a new envelope: oscil main pitch (1), then you can assign it to a CC by clicking on the midi tab (the big midi tab next to the LFO) and select if you want to be able to automate it in time or the amplitude of something (pitch/filter freq etc).

There are standard things you can just assign to a CC on the midi and LFO page but if you want to automate the pitch of individual oscillators you'll need to create a new envelope for each one and assign it to a CC right ?(if they are similar you could use the link feature) Unless I've seriously overlooked something.

Thanks it makes sense to me. Its slightly different to how you say but it got me there 
For those who do not know, you can make a new envelope in the ENV section and then select it and click on the Mode dropdown. There you can choose controller driven. No need to go into the MIDI section, it is mostly static.
Its pretty strange the way it works though, I select a controller and using this rotary I can change where horizontally in the oscii waveform I am (there is a small line that indicates where I am), so if I draw a simple ramp then I've essentially got linear control of pitch.
HOWEVER, I only have control of pitch going down because the pitch waveform is default pitch at the highest point. So I can only go down.
Anybody know what I can do about that aside from obviously increasing the pitch of my oscillator so half way through the waveform is actually technically correct?
I really hope that I've been understandable here.

Close but not quite...
You use the MIDI tab to scale breakpoints of ANY envlope. For automation, you really want to use a control driven envelope, though.
Create an envelope for whatever parameter you wish to control, select that envelope and choose control driven in the mode dropdown. The startpoint of the envelope is 0 and the endpoint is 127.
The cool thing about doing modulation this way is that you aren't restricted to linear controller response. You can put peaks and dips in and all sorts of fun stuff. If you want it linear, just draw a ramp for your envelope...

Yep- that's the only way to do it. As you've noticed, when you're using envelopes the value of the parameter in the patch window is the absolute maximum.
Getting back to the MIDI tab- that works on individual breakpoints on any envelope. You can scale time and amplitude (using separate controllers for each, AND different controllers for each breakpoint if you so desire) for each breakpoint in an envelope. This is great for adding a little zing at a sweet spot in the filter, for example. Experiment
