I just bought NI Kore and would like to use it live for two purposes: first, to augment or
possible replace V-Drums (I have a TD-10). I would use Battery for this, or perhaps some version of BFD that would run inside Kore. At this point I'm trying to avoid buying Receptor. My triggering options are the TD-10 or an Alesis DMpro. Kore would control the kits and allow me to switch them with a footswitch. Any experience with Kore in this context?

Second, and more important, is that I would like to play a specified list of backing tracks -
one stereo pair only, tracks on one side, click on the other - controlled by Kore. Anybody
using backing tracks live or other long, non-looped sounds? Would I use Battery, Kontact or perhaps Reactor? Or should I think about using Kore inside of Live? Give me your thoughts.

Right now I have a Powerbook G4 1.5 GHz. Is this adecuate for the above? I could bump up to
a MacBook or possibly also Receptor. Again, any thoughts?

Thanks,
Shmoe
