Found one on a local trade forum. I heard that the MIDI implementation on this model is weird. Do you think I should get it? What should I look for or be aware of, never owning a vintage synth before? ---- Peace, my friends. I'm not seeking arguments here. |

50 bucks is a great deal! If you don't like it, you could easily sell it for more. ---- !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Sounds like a really good deal to me. ---- At school they taught me how to be. So pure in thought and word and deed. They didn't quite succeed. |

Obvious stuff. Check that it works -- no noisy potentiometers, no broken switches or jacks or displays, and so forth. If possible try to be sure it's not stolen (easier said than done). If appearance is important to you, check that too. |

So far it works fine and sounds good. Have to play with it more. ---- Peace, my friends. I'm not seeking arguments here. |

there are some places online (naturally) that have banks and banks of Matrix
http://www.overacker.com/oberheim.htm I'm not sure what the interface would be (it used to be tape cassette) but there are also reasonably priced and very capable editor/librarian programs to organize the patch banks https://vp3.netgate.net/~squest/Windows/Instruments/matrix6/ index.html you're a lucky dog |

Thanks mates for all the resources. I think I need to get an editor for this thing. Editing with buttons is a nightmare! (or am I spoiled by modern synth interface?) ---- Peace, my friends. I'm not seeking arguments here. |
