Have I mentioned yet how much I love my V-Synth? If I haven't, here is an audio testament to love at sight.

delphi hi-fi

This is an early mix I haven't cleaned up in Pro-Tools, so a narrow stereo field should be expected. Also if anyone wants to give me input on the name becuase the title is just what I called the project before I knew what it was going to be.

(edit)
Here is a much improved mix, (finally got rid of those pesky dynamics... tee hee) I tried to make the more intense parts sound like they're moving into your head. I guess that effect only works in headphones.

delphi hi-fi good mix

And for those interested in remixing here are links to the individual tracks:

large file 8 x 24bit 44.1Khz .wav files = 140mb

small file 8 x 192kb/s .mp3 files = 14.5mb

178 BPM
4/4 time

Thanks for listening!

I love what new toys can pull out of an artist. Great stuff, j. Once you bath this in PT the way you do, my head will probably explode. but as it stands, this is already intense psychotica-breaks.

Thanks guys! When I started this one it was very strait forward 4/4 if you can believe it. I guess it still is but with more rhythmic divergence.

Reminds me of Exile's "Pro-Agonist" album. Very nice!

nice stuff.
And the mix is already rather clean ;)

Another one who does 'stuff' with percussion :(

It's a conspiracy I tell you.

Actually it's also just a bit extreme for me, but nice going anyway :)
It wasn't me! (well, actually, it probably was) - apparently no longer an 'elderly', now a 'senior'! Is that promotion?

That's insanely tasty dude, with a really fine ADD feel. The down tempo parts are so good too. Just sick!

I have updated my offering with a new mix and the opportunity to molest and undermine my tracks. See above for details.

Thanks again for the kind words gents.

I still have no idea what you're doing here or how you're doing it. This one is going on a road trip with me this week...crazy rich programming and texture, dude.
And i can't resist trying a remix out. Though the real challenge will be creating something that will honor this and its creator. Because of my road ventures over the next few weeks, it may take me just that long to finish it. I'll probably have something by the beginning of July. Thanks for letting me (us) do this.

Thanks guys. Breaks are my bread and butter. This is the first track I've done in a while that featured a loop I didn't record myself. Hopefully it wasn't recognizable enough to detract from the experience. There are few people that I can tolerate hearing an "Amen" or a "Funky Drummer" from and I'm not on their level.

As far as how it was done, honestly, most of the techniques that I used are in the tutorial I put together for my blog. The tricks that aren't in that document are secrets passed down from, uh...

somebody...

I don't know, I was probably high when they told me. However, I can tell you that I almost never use FSUs on breaks, for no other reason than shear masochism. Its all programming, modulation and editing. Though, tedious, the process is pretty simple and quite rewarding.

Jazzy, take your time with the mix, I know you are capable of a more polished product than I have put out.

Runa, I would love to collaborate on a DMT fueled jam session transcending space and time.

Thanks again for the feedback.
