I think you just mean vsts available separately, so then my post doesn't make a lot of sense: In Orion (and Orion Platinum) you get sidechain compressors and sidechaining if it's useful too since years.

db-audioware additionally has directX-effects, older ones, that if I remember right use sidechain too. In fact, the db-audioware- one were the first I had, and they work like a charm.

while it's not a side chain compressor- GoldenGate from Sinusweb is just great and quite reasonably priced. for side chain gating, I don't think it gets much better, really Wink

What do you mean by "unknown input" below Sonalksis SV315 Mk2? Smile They clearly state that it supports external side chain input and you can clearly see that in the GUI.

Edit: D'oh, by the time I wrote this it was changed.. (the first post that is Wink)

It meant that I didn't know was the input mono or stereo (mono has 2 channels, stereo 4) ... and I still don't know if there is a mono version available on sonalksis.

For side chaining in Cubase there's this tutorial. I'd say SV315 Mk2 is much more than OK. A great compressor sound, feature and performance wise.

As I was trying to find out the names of the plugins, I found out something sad while googling.

I added "host integrated plugins" section to the list, feel free to list those. Doesn't Logic Pro has integrated sidechain feature, right?

There's also the QuantumFX modular FX set from DB Audio. It has sidechains as independent FX that you can patch into anything - so you can sidechain resonant filters, make ducking delays as well as sidechaining compressors. Wink
