Greetings all,
Has anyone here tried using Kim with Kontakt 3 ? If anyone has Kontakt 3 and Kim I would be interested to hear if you have the same problem. Same goes for Kontakt 2 or 3 as VST in FL Studio, using Kim. Thanks, micd |

Hi,
You right, there's something up with Kim in K3. we'll look into it right away and hopefully come up with a fix. Can't speak for FL Studio, however, we don't have access to it. If it works in the stand alone and in other major hosts, then as far as we're concerned, our product is ok! James |

hey guys, thanks for checking that out.
As regards Kim in Kontakt in FLS I had assumed that FLS might be the culprit... but the Kontakt 3 thing was different - I am happy sticking to K2 for Kim if nec, but I have a colleague who wants to use Kim which he is planning to get when he gets Komplete 5... which will include Kontakt 3. As a by product of your fix it might even work in FLS too.. Cheers, micd |

ps you are right - take the stereo modeller out and it's fine - why was the stereo modeller there - for stereo spread ? I had found Kim to sound quite 'mono', so I have been using a modulator in the Amp section - key position appled to pan - to give it a bit more spread.
btw it's a beautiful sounding instrument, as are the others I have auditioned on your site.. particularly liked Hang Drum but just missed your offer which expired the night I bought Kim... such is life Good luck, Thanks, micd |

Yes, I also ran the whole track through Ozone on the "CD Master Excite Wide" preset. I think I may be having a related issue with VA drums in Kontakt 3.
Distortion-like sounds are happening, most obviously in the Zep kit. This seems to have started after installing the 3.01 Kontakt update. I haven't had time to explore filters/fx, etc., but I thought I should mention it. Thank you |
