Reaper quits when I delete this plugin from the FX chain while Reaper is playing
Reaper quits often when you're making changes to fx/the fx-chain during playback (e.g. switching drums-sets in DK+ works great for killing Reaper) - I had it already twice today - regarding plugin-handling Reaper is almost as unstable as Sonar...
...so I'm tempted to think it's Reaper's fault

I see. Normally I don't change plugins while Reaper's running. Will check that more in depth. BTW, Nuendo2 didn't like deleting plugins while running, too. It might be a serious task overall. But nevertheless it should work stable. Maybe it just needs some safety built in.jens wrote:shogger wrote:BTW,

That's funny: that's one thing that helped me to switch to Cubendo years ago: you could insert and delete effects while the audio engine was running; but the occasional fussy plug can cause problems.shogger wrote:I see. Now I made a quick test to see what's going on here in Reaper:bduffy wrote:That's funny: that's one thing that helped me to switch to Cubendo years ago: you could insert and delete effects while the audio engine was running; but the occasional fussy plug can cause problems.shogger wrote:I see. I have a song I'm working on with 77 FX loaded (Yes, Reaper tells me the number of used plugins in the performance monitor! Cool
So for me it's one more argument against TesslaSE. I wished it would be useful to me as I like the GUI.

actually it depends on a number of parameters, I think - mainly cpu-load as far as I'm aware of it...

Yeah, I can reset the mixer in Cubase, thus deleting all plugins at once. Shouldn't cause a problem. I can test it now coz I'm on my wife's shit computer.
Isn't this plugin made with SynthMaker (IIRC)? I know SM is a little iffy to load, and completely incompatible with some hosts (Wavelab over here), so maybe that's it?
