Hi,

We just made Elevayta Wamp Boy available for download.

It's a Winamp plug-in that hosts Elevayta plug-ins, provides real-time control over Winamp playback and recording of processed audio to disc.

Turn Winamp into an audio processing application for all your audio files. Particularly convenient for processing audio using Elevayta's Klean Boy, Extra Boy Pro, Wider Boy Pro, FreEq Boy and Convo Boy VST plug-ins.

Well, I understand your rationale, but given that Christian Budde offers VST Host Winamp Bridge (which is free), perhaps you'd like to do a second version of yours -- which has some neat features -- that also loads any VST.

I've thought about it a little, and couldn't find a reason why i'd use vst's in winamp (or any audio player), but i'd love to know why others would.

Music by others, particularly from people who are not released commercially, often has mix issues that EQing can fix, or you can run a spectrum analyzer if you want to see what the mix is doing. Or both if you load a small host that chains, such as Chainer or eXT. I suppose some people might try effects such as flangers and choruses to see what they do.

My chain remains unpulled.

I get many requests. i.e. "Why can't I use Extra Boy (Pro) in Winamp?". There are quite a lot of people who simply want to make Karaoke versions of their mp3 collection or clean up old recordings. They don't need a fully blown DAW host to do this and this way they don't need to change too much from their usual way of working.

Is anyone getting a "winamp not found" issue? I have v5.2 installed on C:/Programs and still get this massage at install? thanks for your help in advance...F2
