Hi!
Yesterday I come across the free asio4all http://www.asio4all.com/ project from Michael Tippach. As you might already know: That driver wraps cheap sound card or onboard soundchips and maps them to ASIO. But the best is that it maps also all channels or surround cards to separate asio channels!
That means: If you install asio4all and use that driver in the crusherX-Live! engine ASIO options you will be able to hear surround sound direct from the crushers output! And sure: You can use that driver also together with your sequencer. Together with a simple cheap surround loudspeaker system you are able to make your first steps into surround production without expensive hardware. And believe me: Starting surround productions will lead you to new dimensions of music and sound!
Best wishes
Joerg

I'm using KX project drivers and they seem to do the same thing. Just have to try it out with surround speakers to see if it works.

I used the asio4all and it crashed so... I did find a very affordable SoundBlaster Audigy reconditioned for $30. It has Creative ASIO driver with super low latencey (2ms) and surround sound. I think that is a great product.
Give me faster computers, bigger Hard drives and more money.
