All:
we need a decent step sequencer.
something like the doepfer schaltwerk but obviously for one midi channel. it has to have that layout, with the 16th note grid, with several rows of grids for selectable notes. it also needs to have several rows of adjustable CC parameters for each step (maybe make them a knob in the GUI).
also, i would like to see adjustable swing per row, but more importantly, the ability to import grooves (such as an MPC setting).
seriously, is this that difficult?
i know that Cakewalk Sonar has a step sequencer but it's very limited. it's not enough of something to make me switch to using their product. i like my DAW - i'm used to it, i like the layout, but i hate using a piano roll screen. plus it's limited. i like the ideas behind what an "analog" style sequencer offers and if someone could come up with a decent VSTi to do this, that would be great.
i'm not looking for something like Guru (which only plays wav files you load into it) and i'm very aware of the few step sequencers which are already out there.
should i look to Reaktor?
step sequencer vst!!!!!!!!

It won't be long before people will spot a piano in a picture and say, "He, look- there's one of those old manual step sequencers!"dirty oscillators wrote:All:
