Was it posted elsewhere here? Sorry. I scanned the forum quickly but hadn't noticed any other posts.

Isn't this the third iteration of this post today?

I guess it's a death in the family with a lot of grieving. I almost bought this program and thankfully, a Sweetwater salesman talked me out of it.

It's probably good news though as now we have one less type of sample brand to worry about. It's not like Kontakt 3 is a bad program after all. Tascam isn't and wasn't the greatest company. I avoid they gear because they don't seem to do a very good job of always keeping up with the driver updates in a timely way.

By my count fourth. And a half (that NI Kore thread doesn't count as a full one).

So strange. Version 4 out not long ago, and even a 64-bit version, and now boom, discontinued.
Well, at least I'll be able to buy GVI for really cheap.

Giga is not dead - I've been loading my Giga files just fine in Kontakt and SFZ for years! I started doing so right after I ditched Tascam because they forgot how to get with the times and make their product appealing to the mass market (around 2002, I think) ;-)

A hell of a lot of grieving then.

Slow news day, I suppose. We can only mourn the passing of Estelle Getty so much before we need to train our focus on the next tragedy.
