Thanks for the update Michael! You're really making me wish for dmu-Square and dmu-Saw in the same style!
Some problems with 1.96: With this new version it seems impossible to have a sustained sinus at max volume. No matter what setting i try there is always a loud attack and decay. Maybe you ment it to be this way?? I also hoped you would make the glide/porto even slower at the lowest setting. Much slower. That way it would make sinus great tool for long sweeps. If you can, please implement that. |

hello zeep,
for a simple sustain you just need to get the volume values to default with double leftclick (the tension defaults to 0.5, but needs to be at default 0, needs changing). some explanation (control values are between 0 and 1): - the start value __- is percussive at values < 0.5 __- neutral (direct attack) at 0.5 __- faded in at values > 0.5 - the mid value __- percussive fading out at values < 0.5 __- static at 0.5 __- brass like fade out and swell up at values > 0.5 - release __- is just release - tension __- mixes linear/exponential envelope and pmod transient i did this because the standard adsr lacked the brass like swell ability aswell as percussive transients, so i made this one up - i agree it may be a bit difficult at first and it is quite useless trying to hit exactly the 0.5 setting with mouse movements, but with the default doubleclick for this i thought it worked quite well. and - yes you are right, the maximum porta time is much too low, i will change that. |

hi michael, clicking on the webpage link in the plug brought me to an 'under dev' page - http://www.asinusaureus.com/dmu/index.php
what happened to the foldback? is it gone or changed name? (cant find it) is there anyway to input exact values and get feedback info as to what the values of dial settings are? |

This thing is my new go to Synth for Fat and Deep as Hell Subs. SubBasses, BassDrums and Toms are really the only thing a single Sine wave Synth is good for. Well for me anyway. ---- ![]() |

thank you for the feedback so far.
exxxy: the url is fixed now. the fold shaper is gone, it changed the sine too much and so finally did not fit into the concept. i am currently looking into shaping and filtering of basic waveforms, there will be another plugin for that. update 1.97: - removed tremolo, it was too specific and felt like not adding much, so i replaced it with new pitch sweep abilities - added pitch start +/- 2 octaves - added pitch sweep time from pitch start to note (also sets portatime for mono) - increased max sweep time/portamento - added random pitch control, small values are unquantized, values>0.2 are quantized to selected tuningscale - added microtuning 109 - Custom Just Scale with small interface - increased midcut range - changed inverted linear key2pan (knob<0.5) to random key2pan - envelope tweaks - final gain tweaks, more subtle distortion - fixed an uncomfortable volume spike on some mono legato play with high frequency jumps, pitch is now consistently scaled to volume about the new custom just scale: the c note sets the octave frequency factor, whereas the other notes scale relative to the midi equal temperament, but its probably not mathematically correct and little more than a fun toy. download: http://www.asinusaureus.com/dmu/sine.php |

a small update:
code changes: - increased max sweep range, now you can do extreme 6 octave sweeps - fixed and improved vibrato (was affected by sweep time before) - optimized microtunings, they now switch and process faster interface changes: - colour tweaking - both sweep parameters are now in red, like the other pitch controls - both lowcut and midcut are now blue, like the other volume parameters - lowered cpu usage of wave display note: the wave display gives a nice feedback about the sound currently playing when the interface is open, but at the same time uses some low priority cpu time. (actually its quite much, but it should not affect the asio stream) - if in doubt just put it out by clicking on it. and by the way, some bullshit code has gone into my site and google has blacklisted it. i looked at the page code and there were indeed some crap links (which are now deleted) inside the index.php so the site is temporarily down. i have taken the lesson and will use sftp instead and hope i dont get anymore rootkits by surfing the internet. (this worked quite good for the last years, but somehow it struck me 3 weeks ago and i had some kind of rootkit trojan which i only could get rid off by formatting and copying the original os install image back - thats also where i think this crap might have been inserted onto the page, because i always used plain text ftp to access the site before, but i am not really sure of this). anyway, i hope sftp will save me and i am sorry if you got directed to useless stuff because of this. while the page is offline, you can download here: http://www.asinusaureus.com/dmu/files/dmu_sine1.97.zip edit: i just experienced the power of google after trying out the link - even direct file linking is now blacklisted untill a new "observation" is made, so the rule is - if you want to take the risk meanwhile, just click ignore. |

I clicked on the preset manager and it went to a blue screen and forced me to restart.

I succeeded downloading it by right clicking the link to the zip file and save it to disk. |

yes, as i wrote above, somehow the index page got hacked to contain some crap links and google blacklisted it, but there should be no problem with the zips.
runbeerrun, about the bluescreen/presetmanager: thank you for the report - what host was it in? (could not reproduce it) i have looked at the preset part and corrected some naming inconsistencies which i forgot to change after latest editing, the only thing i found that maybe caused the crash was a blank line in the string array. could you test it again? (rightclick + save as) http://www.asinusaureus.com/dmu/files/dmu_sine1.97.zip changes: -fixed presetnaming -some small code optimisations btw the presets suck with this kind of simple plugin anyway, do not use..(i should have let them out;) |
