I just finished a rough version of a fairly ambient track. The story behind it is that a friend had compiled a track himself largely from some of the samples used in this (the tablas and the vocals), plus some others, and wanted me to fill it out with some harmonies.

This is the first time I've used Cubase, and am still having to use the qwerty keyboard to input midi information (very frustrating). Completely different from my two previous attempts. My friend will also probably be fitting a discreet beat to this, or perhaps we'll just completely re-work it; we'll see.

Anyway, if anyone wants to give it a listen and offer some feedback, that would be great:

No one?

It wouldn't play for me here...made me choose save or open. Chose open and it gave me an error which shut IE down.

Wha? That's strange, it works fine for me on Firefox. Do you have Quicktime installed on your computer? Maybe I should try uploading it somewhere else. Know any sites specifically for uploading music for streaming? I'll try it on IE now.

Well I just checked with IE and got the same thing. It should just load in the browser window and play automatically (as it does in Firefox). I'll look into other sites, but also...maybe get Firefox? It is much better.

OK, here's a link to a different streaming location (4shared):

I don't much like the layout of that site, so if anyone uses a dedicated music streaming server, I'd like to know about it.

I like the sounds in this, and the feel generally, but I find the Munchkininess of the vocal part a baffling choice.

Thanks for the comments. The tabla sounds and the vocals were samples sent to me by a friend, who want me to 'remix' them (or in this case add harmonies/melodies).

I didn't much like the vocals myself originally, but they've grown on me somewhat. I like the very last phrase she sings (also, not sure what you mean by Munchkininess - she sounds about eighty to me).

Last bump.
