Hello and thanks for looking in to this thread Smile

ballistic is a drum sample player with the purpose of raising money for the charity Cancer Research UK. I am donating 100% of sales of ballistic to this charity. If you buy ballistic for $10, I will donate that $10 directly to Cancer Research UK and you get a new plugin and a set of samples from some top sample providers. Sounds like a pretty good deal no? If you can afford $10, even if you aren't really looking for a new plugin or drum samples, please consider buying in order to help give cancer the bullet.

click for more info and larger image

ballistic is a 15 slot drum sample player designed to get you making beats quickly without a million parameters to adjust. All controls are on one screen and the essentials are built in, but with one stereo output per slot, you can add more effects per slot in your hosts mixer. This keeps CPU low and workflow efficient

Simple but effective, it boasts flexible midi triggers, sample audition, sample tuning, 4 choke groups, mute/solo options, sample reverse, sample normalisation and of course a lofi option. There are 30 drum kits included, 780 one-hit samples covering acoustic kits, vintage electronic, analogue synth, dubstep, hiphop, breakbeat, 8-bit, glitch, jazz and esoteric noises. The samples are donated by many generous sample providers such as Loopmasters, Zero-G, Digital-Redux, Goldbaby, Soniccouture, Groove Criminals, Real Music Media, Ronnie @ Rekkerd, sink, polyslax and bedroom producers

More info, audio demo and purchase link can be found on the website: http://www.delamancha.co.uk/ballistic.htm

I hope you will join me in trying to raise money for this worthy cause and help research into eliminating the devastating effect that cancer has on our loved ones and future generations

cheers

dlM

EDIT: 12th Oct 09 - 9 new kits added, kindly donated by Groove Criminals, covers Moog, Linn, 808, Vintage Analogue, Digital, Glitch, Dance, Flanged and Junk.

I'm in.

A no-nonsense sample player + 600 cool noises for only 10USD? It's a no-brainer.

Love de la Mancha, f**k cancer.

It took my Mum away and if I can help to prevent that happening to others then it will be worthwhile

I'd like this to get as much momentum as possible and raise as much money as possible for Cancer Research. If you can post a link to this thread or the ballistic webpage on any other music forums you take part in, it would be much appreciated, thanks.

Just bought this a few minutes ago. The samples alone are worth well more than $10.

My uncle currently has pancreatic cancer....the cancer with the lowest survial rate (I believe around 4%). So I'm glad to give a little bit to maybe make a big difference.

Excellent and worthwhile idea, dlm. So a special thanks to you and those who helped provide the sample content.

Glad to have helped out dlm. Smile

This is a fantastic idea - I wish you great success!

C'mon folks, it's not often you get something really cool in return for helping out a worthy cause.

How about a Mac buy-now button that doesn't actually give you anything, but still lets you donate.

I'm serious (though it needs to probably be labelled "Just donate" to be obvious) Wink

EDIT: DNS problems are mine. O2 are useless.

Thanks for your support guys, it's really appreciated and we've already raised $230 in just over 12 hours Thumbs Up!

For the Mac crowd, well there are over 600 drum samples in the download that you can still use for your $10, plus you get just the same karma boost as the PC guys Very Happy

It's nice to say that they magically research cancer, but how do they exactly do it? By torturing animals? Confused
