I have been using Aether for some months now as primary reverb. But today I did try AriesVerb, and wow...this was an mindblowing experience, for long and deep soundscape reverbs this sound absolutely fantastic, so it is ideal for people who create ambient music and want to make long and deep soundworlds. I can't coment how well it sound on musical instruments like drums or guitar since I have not tried that yet... but..I can imagine it will sound just as good..

My first impression is that AriesVerb sounds much better, it sounds much more clear an transparent, and it sound very smooth... it have more respect for the source audio it seem...to me it reminds me a lot of the lexicon sound...But we will se...what the real pros think about that..

Well this was my first imnpression, I will see if I change my mind with time...but I think I will not..This reverb must come very close to an Lexicon reverb I would say, or what does the people with the experience say ?

Donload the demo and try it out....Which do you prefer Aether or AriesVerb and why ?

And let us hope there will be an humane price on AriesVerb when the full version is released...the current price 129€ is too me a humane price, and something I would be willing to pay.

Totally different beasts.

Aether is more of a conventional reverb, unique in its own way and sounds fantastic.

Ariesverb is a "feedback delay network processor" and totally breaks new ground in my opinion. Ive never come across anything like it before, you can create some unbelievable stuff with it.

I agree with you there...as I said...I have not tried Ariesverb for more musical reverbs...but for soundscapes it is totally euphoric.

But to call them different betas..I am not sure..cause besides the modulation options... aether can do a lot of what Ariesverb can do....For instant create long big space reverbs...

Aether can barely touch the surface of what Ariesverb can do. However it is probably easier to dial in a wide array of reverb spaces.

I have used Ariesverb some hours now...and damn..I am in love...what an f**king amazing sound...This is the best software reverb I have heard...

I wonder how long can I use this demo version ?

And once again..I hope they decide to sell this at an humane price which is below $200. So that we poor deadly people also could afford this reverb...

I've not tried Ariesverb yet, but I've recently fallen in love with 112db's Redline Reverb. So smooth and transparent one moment, freakish ambient dreamstate the next. It's for sure on my list for '09.

I thought I would get a nice little taste of the Breverb engine with their $5 Audiomidi.com version, but I wished I had bought a sandwich instead. Man that thing is horrible. Are they trying to chase people away from the full version?

Redline reverb, sounds very grainy and dry in comparison... Did never like it...
But again...really depends on..how you use it also...

Ariesverb sounds very much like an Lexicon reverb I would say...

Aether sounded very good, but used too much cpu imho. I watched the group buy unfold, but could not bring myself to join in.

AriesVerb however, had me reaching for the credit card within hours.

It is now my default reverb, and once I understand it's deeper functions, will probably sit alongside Reverberate, as being the only two reverbs I need.

I have only been using the standard setting ""Temple of the Ancestors" and I am already sold...haven't been using any of the deeper modulation functions etc...

CPU is no problem I think...but I got an 3.5 GHZ Core I7...
So I got big problems to use my CPU to it's full potential...which can be frustrating... I really think of the optimal use for the user...every reverb should have different algorithms for what amount of CPU power you have...

I like how the Omnisphere Reverb is builed up...you can change "cpu usage" with an knob..which will change the reverb algorithm from higher to lower sound quality.

Reverb algoritms can be very complex..since we try capture the reflections of nature/universe in an giving environment...

But it really amases me how crystal clear the sound is..it sound very musical also...the smoothness sound very nice...

So I really want to know how do people think it compares to Breverb? I'll admit that Ariesverb is much more flexible when it comes to what you can all do with it. But in terms of overall reverb Quality I have to give Breverb the Edge on that one. To me anyway Breverb is one of the few Software Reverbs that actually sound like or better than hardware. Don't get me wrong Ariesverb is really Good and damn Amazing. It's kind of like having the control and flexibility of a IR Reverb inside of a Algorithmic Reverb in a way. Also the way you can design your own Reverb Algorithms is truly Awesome stuff indeed. It's almost like the Rayspace Reverb but higher Quality.

For some reason I have never tried Breverb. I have heard about it, but for some reason I thought it was only available for RTAS...I was not aware that it was available for VST...I will try it within next couple of days...and see how it does compare with AriesVerb and aether.

I was contemplating buying aether, but was shy because of the price...well, AriesVerb may have saved the day, to put it simply...the flexibility is to die for, the warmth it has is amazing for some of my synth patches, the effects it can produce are mind-blowing, and it's got a much more economic GUI than aether...I'm considering heavily at the moment...

I agree with the interface on Aether..it takes up almost the whole monnitor...

I today heard that AriesVerb will most likely cost below $200...

I suggested midi supported in the retail version.would be very nice if I could change the reverb space in real-time while I am recording... That would give me more total control of the sound...rather then having one static setting..
