VB3 1.2.2 is out.
Does is need a specific receptor installer like Farhan's for 1.2.1?
Apparently it sounds even better (1.2.1 is great already) and uses less cpu.
Check it out at http://www.genuinesoundware.com/

I wrote to Guido, and he seems to think that the Muse folks should ahve an installer soon.
In the meantime - you might be able to get it going simply by replacing the .dll, if that is indeed possible....

Hi Everyone,

VB3 1.2.2 does run on Receptor, and you can do so by replacing the .dll. However, if you have installed 1.2.1 via the Receptorized installer, you will get an access violation if you try to replace the .dll.

Officially (''), you will either need to wait for Muse to replace the Receptorized installer, or get a 'permission fixer' from Muse. Unofficially, ...... (':uhuhuh:')

Hi again,

So the problem is that Muse created the original VB3 installer such that it gave UNIX file/directory protections that prevent users from erasing or overwriting the VB3 dll. This is what prevents you from simply copying the new 1.2.2 VB3 .dll over your old .dll.

To get this fixed (the way that Muse wishes you to do this) would be to create a 'support ticket' on Plugorama web site, describing this situation. They will do one of two things:

1.) Create a "permission fixer". This is a small .mrpk file that you drop in your install folder. Receptor will execute this file, which will change the UNIX permissions on VB3 - allowing you to replace the 1.2.1 .dll with the 1.2.2 .dll.

2.) Create a new VB3 1.2.2 install. This would be like any other .mrpk installer that you drop in your installation folder, and it would simply install the new 1.2.2 version for you.

Either way, you probably need to create that support ticket to get the ball rolling on Muse's side.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, I'll do with 1.2.1 for now.
VB3 has a "midi learn" function that works by right clicking on a parameter when using it as a plugin on a pc.
I can't find a way to do this on Receptor, did anyone manage to do it?

I've been able to assign everything by ctrl-clicking and moving the slider/pedal/switch/knob I want to assign for that parameter. I'm on a Mac. I'm not sure it 'midi learns' on all channels though...

I have received a permission fixer for VB3 and copied the 1.2.2 files over with no problem. Initial install was from the Plugo installer and it all works correctly, apparently, including the preset patch list (I edited mine to change the factory presets, so I can call them up via lower-octave program change.)

I created a ticket to obtain a permission fixer to allow me to install VB3 1.2.2 and was denied by a tech named Rick. He said version 1.2.2 has not been tested yet and they cannot help me to change permissions.

Can anyone help?
