Reason,
I got a chance to play a little with Synthplantation last night. I really like the choices you made with the presets. It seems that with soundsets in general, certain sounds really grab me and others I don't find very interesting. Your set had was of the first type all the way through and I could see a use for all of them. Perhaps we just have similar tastes. Although I didn't get a chance to try the non-FX version, even on the normal patches the fx were not obtrusive and seemed built into the patch rather than being added to it (if that makes sense). Very well done. I actually started working on a piece using one of the presets, with drums from Microtonic for the complete Sonic Charge experience. ;-) Well done! Cheers, Scott |

Hey Scott, thanks for such kind words! We typically try to focus on creating sounds that are incredibly usable in productions and not just fancy, esoteric sounds that you could never fit in a mix, so it's nice to hear that we've succeeded in our intent that with soundsets in general, certain sounds really grab me and others I don't find very interesting. Your set had was of the first type all the way through and I could see a use for all of them. Perhaps we just have similar tastes. BTW, we just got a fairly large amount of orders all at one time, for some reason the mail server was holding them, so I apologize for any late replies. |

I always liked exploring the vast deepness and huge sonic range of Synplant. It's almost always my first to-go synth for evolving and undulating pads, complex textures and eerie special effects.
The Synplantation soundset shows some of the more "bread and butter" sounds that are achievable with the 'plant. Just checked out the "MixControl" that's mentioned in rlahalla's signature. Sounds like a really capable channel strip for single tracks and mastering with a strong EQ, precise and fast dynamics and some very useful routing options. One shouldn't miss to test-drive this piece of software. |

I have just had the pleasure of going through this new product and there are some SERIOUS gems.
The basses are 100% useful and AMAZING - I LOVE 'Hard FM Bass'. The sound could easily make it into any score I create, as does any of these bass presets. The pads are INCREDIBLE. 'Strings+Choir' is so good, it inspires me to create music all by itself (I could play this patch for hours). 'Long PW Pad' has some nice BRASS overtones - really well made! The pads are my favorite part of this product. The plucked presets are BEGGING for an arp or phrase sequencer to create moving melodic tracks. These really are wonderful and full of timbre variations. 'Energy Taps' is a great massive sound due to that silky smooth reverb and 'FM Retaliation' could literally have come straight from a beat up Yamaha from the 80s! Great job guys! This is a solid winner and at $5 it's an excellent price for an excellent, well rounded product. I am impressed. Mike |
