This sounds great! I have had similar problems in 32-bit Reaper (3.11) with XP and Intel core2duo PC. But I have to say that it hasn't stopped me from using Density Mk2, BootEQII, TesslaPro, EpicVerb and now Ferric. These are simply amazing plugins! I have just saved my projects like paranoid. I have had this problem with LePou's LeCab also (at least I'm pretty sure about it) and I think it's SM too.bootsie wrote:Yesterday, SM released a new compiler version which "Fixed several memory issues that were causing crashes when deleting plugins in some host applications" - so we could test that and see if it solves your crashes. Just drop me your eMail and I'll send you the bits.
Maybe we (finally) have a solution for all those diffuse poofs in certain host configurations.
Possible Density MkII problem

Same problem here since I use Density a lot, my host close a lot and it made me a save junkie. Didn't know that was maybe the plug that did that. Thought that was Cubase that did his usual quirky and infuriating crash.

No, LePou's stuff is C++. No SM.gavriloP wrote:I have had this problem with LePou's LeCab also (at least I'm pretty sure about it) and I think it's SM too.

It was happening to me not only when I deleted the plug-in, but often during loading and occasionally when the plug-in was just sitting in the project disabled. I'm still fairly certain no other Bootsy plug-in did this.

Hi,
I can confirm that a compile in the newest version of Synthmaker will solve all the crash issues after unloading any Synthmaker plugin.
Noticed this crashing in my own plugin so contacted Malc (from Synthmaker)
Have been cooperating with Malc for the past 2 weeks by testing many unload scenarios and the resulting new version of Synthmaker will solve all of these issues. (like sudden host disappear)
Extensively tested in Orion, Reaper, Cubase with many VSTi.
CC
PS: To explain why some people had the issues, some didn't and why this was so hard to solve:
- Mostly happened on XP
- Mostly only crashes if a certain other VSTi is loaded afterward.
- Mostly was needed to click around in a certain way in the plugin which was loaded afterwards to provoke the crash.

this sounds like the news many people have been waiting for! if mr bootsy is reading, is this a quick thing to do to re-compile the plugins? maybe stick out public betas of the whole bootsy collection to test this on a large scale?
