Well, I ordered a copy of Battery 3, ran Direct Install and...it does not install! I don't know exactly why yet, but I think because the installer application on my install disk is version 3.1, and Direct Install says it installs v3.0.0. Same issue as Addictive Drums; Direct Install has not kept up with the slightly later version(s). I have a support ticket in to verify this.
Extremely disappointing, to say the least.

Hi to all, I am new here but have had my Receptor for a while. I too have an issue with Addictive Drums, My package says 1.0 but the dvd is marked 1.1.1.
The direct install is looking for an exe that doesnt have the 1_1_1 in the name so it errors out. I even made another dvd with the exe name changed and got a bit further but just freezes. Please if this could be fixed that would be great. I purchased AD just for the Receptor going by the Plugorama references. I need this to work for portability reasons. Please, I am begging...

Regarding my installation issue of Direct Install not installing Battery 3 (3.1, actually), I heard from Muse support yesterday and it seems there's an issue with the Mac OS 10.4.11 (fixed in 10.5.6, apparently) that is causing the problem. There's a workaround to this, evidently, but I haven't gotten that yet as it was late in the day when I heard about it.
So help is on the horizon for me and Battery 3, but of course I'm also waiting for Superior Drummer 2.0 and Addictive Drum support too.

Just to update, I got Battery 3 installed on my Receptor yesterday after a great assist from Kevin at Muse Research support. Thanks, Kevin!

1.8 isn't available for the V1 Receptors but they hope to make it available as soon as possible (at least that's what they said in my tech support ticket). I thought BFD2 was already installable on the Rev C with 1.7 but I guess not, when I look on Plugorama.

Why can't you install AD on your PC and then just copy the files to the unsupported directory. It worked for me.andrizzle wrote:Hi to all, I am new here but have had my Receptor for a while. I too have an issue with Addictive Drums, My package says 1.0 but the dvd is marked 1.1.1.

That's dandy but people like me are on a Mac and it is a pain in the rump to get the PC files over correctly sometimes and they have an installer so you'd think things like this should be kept up so folks who don't like doing unsupported installs (I'm OK with it, but who they seem to target typically don't seem to be). It gets frustrating that they don't keep up with the things they actually support as far as direct installable programs.PhilMuller wrote:Why can't you install AD on your PC and then just copy the files to the unsupported directory. Once we get 1.8 the 1.1.1 AD install will be supported.
